Although there are still a few buildings under construction remaining in Downtown Miami, much of the nationally publicized building boom that has transformed the city has come to an end.  The countless number of cranes have mostly come down — much of the road work that saw Biscayne Boulevard transformed has finished.   

For many years, Downtown Miami resembled more of a war zone than an actual city.  I wanted to share with all of you this collection of photographs of Downtown Miami during the recent construction boom.  These are photographs I have taken over the last few years — enjoy!

Today, as the dust has settled, Downtown Miami has emerged a very different place — it has undergone an urban renaissance that continues to change from day to day.  For those that love witnessing drastic urban changes — Downtown Miami really is the perfect place to be.  Downtown Miami is at the center of an demograpic change going on all over the country – transforming itself from an nine to five work center to a diverse twenty four hour neighborhood.  Downtown Miami/Brickell is becoming the place to be.
