As part of the Celebrate Architecture + Design Month there will be a panel discussion on Historic Preservation Challenges and Rewards. The discussion will include a case study of the Miracle Theatre public-private restoration project between Actors’ Playhouse and the city of Coral Gables, and discussions on several other past and current historic preservation projects. The event will take place on November 10, 2009 at the Actor’s Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre. Reception will take place at 6:00 PM and the panel discussion will take place between 6:30 and 8:30 PM.

- Barbara Stein — producing executive director – Actors’ Playhouse at the Miracle Theatre
- Mayor Don Slesnick of Coral Gables
- Jorge Hernandez — architect, UM professor and trustee of the National Trust for Historic Preservation
